Souper Bowl of Caring for GEDCO's CARES
As easy as 1 - 2 - 3
The Souper Bowl of Caring program takes place every year on Super Bowl Sunday (February 5, 2012) to support organizations like GEDCO's CARES. It all started at a single congregation in South Carolina in 1990. A pastor’s simple prayer: "Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat" has led to a youth-oriented movement to help hungry and hurting people around the world. Whether or not the Ravens make it to the Super Bowl, make this year's game a celebration of Baltimore by participating in the 2012 Souper Bowl of Caring for GEDCO's CARES.
In 2011, GEDCO's CARES provided food for 7,837 people! You can join the 2012 Souper Bowl of Caring for GEDCO's CARES team. It's as easy as 1-2-3.

GEDCO's CARES!
This is an outstanding – and easy – way to have a direct impact on some of our neighbors in need. CARES’ mission is to respond to the needs of people with low incomes who are facing crisis, and to do so in a way that treats each person with compassion, dignity and respect. Through our CARES Program, GEDCO is working hard to help the hungry and financially struggling residents of north-central Baltimore City.
