Harford House is a renovated series of adjoined rowhomes located on E. North Avenue in the Oliver neighborhood of Baltimore City. Since opening in 1998, Harford House has provided 26 single-person rental units for formerly homeless men.

GEDCO is responsible for the overall operations of the Micah House, including the supportive services program.

SUPPORTIVE SERVICES

At Harford House, each resident is required to meet with the on-site Advocacy Counselor, who:

  • Assesses each resident's history
  • Helps design an individual goal and action plan for success
  • Monitors the individuals progress, adjusting when necessary

COLLABORATIVE APPROACH

A hallmark of our supportive services program is our collaborative approach. We work closely with other organizations to provide our residents with needed workshops and services including:

  • Health screening and education sessions
  • Cooking classes
  • Computer and paper-based tutoring
