Gallagher Mansion

In 1996, GEDCO redeveloped the historic Gallagher Mansion, which had been deteriorating and vacant for twenty years.  It was renamed the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Senior Housing at the Gallagher Mansion and now contains 40 housing units for low income senior citizens.

Gallagher Mansion is an active living facility but GEDCO provides a number of supportive services to improve the living experience of the residents.  A part-time Service Coordinator works closely with the residents to identify activities and programs of interest and then facilitates their implementation.  The Service Coordinator works with GEDCO’s Volunteer Coordinator to make sure that there are people available, when needed, to ensure successful program and activity outcomes.
