Each year, as the holiday season nears, GEDCO plans a ThanksGiving Tribute to express our gratitude to an organization or individual who has brought special blessings to the GEDCO community. At the same time, the ThanksGiving Tribute is GEDCO's annual opportunity to raise funds to cover the core operating expenses essential to sustain our mission.
Last year we honored The Rev. Jack Sharp for instilling five core values into GEDCO’s organizational culture. This year, we will honor five individuals,each of whom exemplify one of these traits: George J. Collins, former President and CEO of T. Rowe Price for his leadership; Ralph E. Moore, Jr., Director of the St. Francis Academy for his tenacity; former Mayor Kurt L. Schmoke for his vision; Becky Boynton, Service Learning Coordinator for Friends School and longtime GEDCO volunteer for her compassion; and Esther Bechtold Bonnet, Stadium Place board member and active volunteer at the age of 97 for her spirit. All of these individuals have shown extraordinary commitment to the mission of GEDCO and the betterment of the entire Baltimore community. |
